Job Description

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for rebuilding risk management systems on Google Cloud for one of our major banking clients. This is a high-impact role that requires managing a set of tasks and techniques while working as a liaison among various stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of retail banking business and related risk management practices, as well as experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global based systems in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex business requirements and generate technical specifications to design or redesign software components and applications.
  • Build, architect, design, and create transformation plans to modernize legacy systems to highly distributed global based systems.
  • Review designs from network infrastructure, security, data, or application development perspectives.
  • Align solutions to strategic technical and capability roadmaps and identify new shared capabilities and business opportunities.
  • Inform stakeholders about issues with current technical solutions being implemented.
  • Author architectural patterns to help assessment teams improve and develop their processes.
  • Help drive the implementation of trusted policies and standards with internal teams.
  • Challenge application teams' ways of thinking by implementing architectural design principles to improve security, resiliency, and technology footprint.
  • Continuously research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
  • Socialize with larger audiences using reporting, real-time dashboards, and hosting education sessions.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering/data engineering experience in the financial industry.
  • Deep understanding of retail banking business and related risk management practices.
  • Excellent persuasive communication and ability to lead and facilitate strategic discussions between multiple teams.
  • Experience building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global based systems in the cloud.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good understanding of risk management function and capital management function.
  • Experience architecting technology solutions that implement trusted governance frameworks, policies, and workflows.
  • Experience with structured architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems, databases, and technologies.
