About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Collision Repair Technician to join our team at Glen-Merritt Collision Ltd. As a key member of our body shop team, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized work environment by cleaning and maintaining your workspace.
  • Repair and Replace Body Components: Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components to restore vehicles to their original condition.
  • File, Grind, and Sand Body Surfaces: Use specialized equipment to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
  • Hammer Out Dents and Defects: Use blocks and hammers to remove dents, buckles, and defects from vehicle bodies.
  • Remove and Replace Damaged Components: Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • Repair or Replace Interior Components: Restore interior components to their original condition.
  • Straighten Bent Frames: Use frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment to straighten bent frames.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
