Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Blends & Bites Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a clean and safe dining environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with overtime required.
  • Physically demanding work, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
