About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Specialist to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as training staff in food preparation and handling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling, as well as supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Leadership and Management: Recruit and hire staff, and manage kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food and excellent customer service.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, and be physically demanding.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Schedule: Work 35 to 40 hours per week, with overtime required as needed.
