About the Role

Bombardier is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering, Avionics professional to join our team. As a key member of our Avionics Systems team, you will be responsible for the development, testing, certification, production, and in-service support of state-of-the-art business aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and manage overall systems and subsystems requirements to ensure safety, certification, and aircraft design requirements are met.
  2. Work with system suppliers and other interfacing suppliers and disciplines to ensure smooth integration of systems on the aircraft.
  3. Be responsible for the timely integration of systems, including AFCS, Communication, Navigation, Displays, Information/Maintenance & Recording, on the aircraft.
  4. Conduct and support ARP4754 system and aircraft verification and validations.
  5. Liaise with Certifying Authorities and/or support their delegates in achieving system certification.
  6. Support the Final Assembly Line and In-Service Aircrafts for any design-related issues and bring them to closure.
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of software for customization of crew alerting logic and synoptics pages, I/O configuration into an IMA environment, and automation of aircraft-level functions.
Requirements
  1. You hold a university degree in Electrical, Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
  2. You have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Avionics Systems.
  3. You have knowledge with the specification, design, integration, test, and certification of Avionics systems on aircraft.
  4. You are familiar with industry standards DO-178, DO-160, and ARP4754.
  5. You have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  6. You have excellent problem-solving skills, work planning structure, and prioritization.
  7. You have the ability to work well in a team environment.
  8. You are willing to travel.
