About the Job

The Interior Health Authority's High Acuity Response Team (HART) is a pioneering initiative that provides mobile critical care to patients in rural areas. As a Critical Care Transport Nurse, you will be part of a dedicated team that collaborates with rural clinicians to stabilize patients and transport them to higher levels of care when necessary.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of a high-functioning team providing critical care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
  • Collaborate with rural clinicians to assess patients and develop plans for transportation to higher levels of care
  • Support patient care at base hospitals when not on transport
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Successful completion of an accredited critical care training course and/or certificate, and a minimum of three years recent related experience caring for critically ill/injured patients
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • A valid BC Driver's License

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $118,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including employer-paid vacation, insurance premiums, medical services plan, extended health coverage, dental health coverage, and a pension plan.
