About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at MDA Space. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the execution of multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring technical, schedule, and budget objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day execution of the project team, ensuring technical, schedule, and budget requirements are met.
  • Identify and manage customer and program risks and opportunities, prioritizing mitigation, escalation, and resolution.
  • Support the Program Manager in negotiating and discussing key requirements and objectives with customers, ensuring consistency of approach within the team.
  • Monitor and control non-labor management, including planning engine generation, subcontractor and supplier liaison, and program reviews.
  • Provide technical guidance, direction, and decision-making to the program team, supporting the preparation of detailed schedules and work-around plans as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical/business education.
  • Years of experience in engineering functions in space, robotics, or related technical fields.
  • Willingness to learn about different areas of expertise.
  • Experience with team leadership, task estimating, and monitoring, familiarity with Earned Value Methodology.
  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and conflict management skills, able to motivate a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Security Clearance

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
