About the Role

This is a 3-month contract with significant potential for spillover extensions, offering a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale initiative with a prominent insurance provider in the financial services sector.

As a skilled C# Developer, you will join a small, dynamic team at Systematix, a Global Consulting and Resourcing firm, to enhance in-house applications and custom programs, design and implement MSSQL data stores, and utilize XML data structures to build middleware services via SOAP or JSON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain in-house applications and custom programs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain MSSQL data stores.
  • Utilize XML data structures to build middleware services via SOAP or JSON.
  • Manage SharePoint Online configurations and integrations using CSOM API.
  • Work with Microsoft Graph API to access and manipulate data from Microsoft 365 services.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of code and use version control systems.
  • Assist users with both applications and legacy systems support.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects involving application virtualization and integrations with MS Technologies and Windows Services.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Visual Studio and C# application development.
  • Expertise in SQL Integration Services and managing application data stores.
  • Ability to develop and manage SSIS packages.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Graph API for integrating Microsoft services.
  • Solid experience with middleware integration using XML and SOAP/JSON.
  • Extensive knowledge of ASP.NET development (Core or MVC).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Integration Services and CSOM APIs.
  • Understanding of web application and mobile development.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices (preferably Azure DevOps).
  • Previous experience working in a hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodology.
  • Experience with project management concepts like estimation and scheduling.
  • Nice to have: OLE scripting and strong database design fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities quickly.
  • Knowledge of Legacy Systems (RS/6000/AIX) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Progress/OpenEdge is an asset.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry is an advantage.
