Job Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary educational leader to join our team as Vice Principal of Raft River Elementary, Vavenby, and Blue River. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing district with a strong commitment to equity and excellence for all learners.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the three schools, with 70% of their time dedicated to administrative tasks and 30% providing general support and prep coverage. As a member of our administrative team, you will be a leader who values equity and excellence for all learners, relying on your extensive knowledge of the BC education system to plan for and implement student achievement goals.

Responsibilities
  • Guide the development and implementation of shared values, vision, and mission and goals to support engagement, learning, and success for all learners.
  • Lead the learning by establishing a continuum of learning, engaging in ongoing and targeted conversations regarding the progression of learning, and focusing professional learning and development on addressing the needs of the population.
  • Collaborate with staff, students, parents, and the community to create an environment that recognizes learners as core participants and explores alternative ways to measure student success.
  • Promote reflection and dialogue about teaching and learning, inspire and support innovation, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • A Master of Education degree or near completion of such degree.
  • A valid BC Teaching Certificate.
  • A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience.
  • A proven record of successful educational leadership experiences.
  • The ability to travel between worksites.
