Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Alberta Health Services as a Dietitian I in Grande Prairie. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing nutrition expertise to patients in various AHS facilities and community settings. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting nutrition assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating nutrition care plans. You will also have the opportunity to plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients and groups in facilities or community settings.

About the Role:

As a Dietitian I, you will be responsible for providing nutrition expertise to patients in various AHS facilities and community settings. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement nutrition care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient. You will also have the opportunity to plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients and groups in facilities or community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutrition assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans
  • Provide nutrition expertise to patients in various AHS facilities and community settings
  • Plan and provide public health nutrition services and education programs to promote healthy living and disease prevention for clients and groups in facilities or community settings
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement nutrition care plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science with a major in Foods and Nutrition
  • Completion of an internship program or practicum training program accredited by the Dietitians of Canada
  • Active or eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta (CDA)
