Tax Leadership Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Leader to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a Tax Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing industry and technical expertise taxation and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations, and high-quality deliverables. Your expertise in Canadian Tax law will enable you to design solutions that meet compliance and reporting requirements, minimize risk, and maximize returns.

Key responsibilities include leading multiple client-facing engagement teams, delivering industry and technical expertise through client interactions, reports, and management presentations, and evaluating existing business processes and policies, advising on policy and tax changes. Additionally, you will develop proactive tax strategies that make effective use of business opportunities and ensure businesses are run effectively. Liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Canada Revenue Agency and provincial ministries on client issues is also a key responsibility.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles, as well as proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills. A CPA designation, completion of Level 1 of the In-depth Tax Program, and other specialist development courses are essential. A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant public accounting or tax consulting experience, along with extensive working knowledge of Canadian Tax law, is also required.
