Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at AutoTrader. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality in our software products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in testing activities to identify and report defects, verify fixes, and work with developers to ensure defects are resolved.
  • Provide task estimates required for the quality assurance effort of assigned projects.
  • Establish cooperative relationships to work efficiently with co-workers and participate as a member of a Quality Assurance team.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts and work closely with the Automation team to ensure the test scripts and automation test suite are up-to-date.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of QA experience.
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, scripting, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
