Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at SAPPHIRE SOUTH INDIAN KITCHEN. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our dining area and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
- Package take-out food and ensure it is ready for customers.
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit for preparation.
- Sharpen kitchen knives and maintain their condition.
- Inventory Management
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
- Customer Service
- Serve customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile.
- Ensure that customers have a positive dining experience.
- General Duties
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean environment.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- Will train.

- Standing for extended periods.

- 40 hours per week.
