Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Interior Health Authority. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing essential distribution pharmacy services, including interpreting medication orders, assessing prescriptions for therapeutic suitability, and ensuring accurate dispensing and labeling of medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on medication therapy and treatment options to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability and ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Contribute to medication safety initiatives and quality control activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and other team members to resolve prescription-related issues and provide instructions on medication use and administration.
  • Participate in clinical drug trials and contribute to the development of new medication therapies.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Current certification in pharmacy practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
