Position: Board of Directors, Legal Professional

Location: Barrie, Ontario

Catulpa Community Support Services is seeking passionate individuals to oversee the organization's governance and future policy within a Volunteer Board of Director role. We encourage individuals with disabilities and those from diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply.

Qualifications: Successful candidates should be qualified Legal Professionals with a strong understanding of not-for-profit regulations and social justice. This is a volunteer role.

Role & Time Commitment

The Catulpa Community Support Services' Board is responsible for effective governance through oversight of strategic planning, fiscal review, and determination of mission-related policy. Volunteer Directors provide special skills and knowledge within the Board setting.

Meetings take place in Barrie, Ontario six times annually for approximately three hours per meeting. Successful Board of Director applicants are appointed for a term of three years and provided a mentor.

Catulpa Community Support Services is a FOCUS-accredited registered non-profit agency that has been serving children, youth, adults, and families with special or unique needs since 1973. We are comprised of a team of approximately 100 staff that work in collaboration with government agencies and community partners to achieve the best outcomes for all those we serve. We are funded by The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, The Public Health Agency of Canada, and The County of Simcoe.
