Job Title: Carpenter Helper

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Helper to join our team at Iron Home Renovation Inc. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The Carpenter Helper will assist our experienced carpenters in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, reading blueprints, and performing routine maintenance work.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Read blueprints to determine work requirements and assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction and assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and clean and pile salvaged materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance work and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction and direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements:
  • Fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
  • Physically demanding and handling heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime and sound discrimination.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) weight handling.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and own tools/equipment.
  • Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and team player.
  • Will train and involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
