The position will play a key part in developing impactful research that shapes best management practices for sustainable and effective weed control. The successful candidate will assist with experiment setup, collect and manage research data, and maintain field and greenhouse research areas.

Key duties include:

  • Setting up experiments and applying treatments in field, greenhouse, and lab studies
  • Collecting, processing, and managing research data to support ongoing studies
  • Maintaining field and greenhouse research areas, including tasks such as equipment operation, watering, weeding, mowing, planting/seeding, and scouting for weeds or turf conditions

This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and is paid on an hourly basis.

Requirements:

  • High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work independently once provided training
  • Interest in plants or related discipline
  • Attention to detail and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
