Camp Counselor

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Camp Counselor to join our team at KKetchum Consulting. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for leading recreational and leisure programs for school-age children, including arts and crafts, sports, and fitness activities. You will also assist in planning and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

• Lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs
• Plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities
• Monitor recreational, sports, or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
• Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
• Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
• Maintain daycare equipment
