Job Title: Personal Support Worker

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team in Richmond Hill. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our patients, enabling them to recover safely from an acute illness or remain in their homes throughout the aging process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, toileting, skincare, and light meal preparation.
  • Continually assess and respond to the changing needs of patients, communicating available resources to patients and their families.
  • Perform delegated and assigned tasks under the supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
  • Travel within assigned regions to provide care to patients in their residences or facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate from a Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities or the Ministry of Education approved program.
  • Fluent in Mandarin/Cantonese.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including standing, bending, walking, and lifting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
  • Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check.
  • Two Step TB Test (last 12 months).
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
