About the Role

We are seeking an IT Vendor Management Specialist to join our team, responsible for building and maintaining strategic partnerships with IT vendors and internal stakeholders. This role will ensure alignment of IT and business requirements, arbitration with vendors, and effective management of vendor relationships throughout all stages of the contract and vendor lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Vendor Contracts: Work with procurement colleagues to develop contracts, manage contract change control processes, and adhere to standardized Third-Party management processes for Technology.
  • Vendor Management: Monitor vendor spend against financial plans, manage multiple vendor relationships, and provide guidance on contract elements to key stakeholders.
  • IT Governance: Coordinate IT governance standards to ensure Third-Party arrangements align with Technology business objectives and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external third parties to optimize Scotiabank's 3rd-party IT expenditure.
Requirements
  • Lead and Drive a Customer Focused Culture: Deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Understand Risk Appetite and Risk Culture: Consider risk in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Provide Guidance: Ensure escalated concerns/governance issues are appropriately managed.
