About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Integrated Power Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on various electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Safely: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Teamwork: Effectively contribute to a strong team environment by assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goals.
  • Equipment Inspection: Inspect and test various electro-mechanical equipment to identify any issues or defects.
  • Electrical Testing: Perform electrical tests using portable electronic equipment, including but not limited to: Megger, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLRO.
  • Installation and Removal: Install and remove AC and DC electric motors, laser align equipment, and read precision measuring tools such as micrometers.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean electro-mechanical equipment using bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning.
  • Customer Interaction: Ensure a professional environment by utilizing customer-facing skills.
  • Compliance: Complete assigned work in compliance with operative policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience as a Millwright with AC/DC motor experience.
  • PdMA Testing: PdMA testing experience is preferred.
  • Level 2 Vibration Analysis: Level 2 Vibration Analysis is preferred.
  • Alignments and Balancing: Proficient at alignments and on-site balancing.
  • Sleeve Bearing Seating and Inspection: Proficient at sleeve bearing seating and inspection.
  • Bentley System Experience: Bentley system experience is considered a plus.
  • Proxy Probe Installation: Proxy probe installation experience is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work procedures, and apply strong analytical problem-solving dynamics in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus with professional communication.
  • Availability: Available and willing to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required, willingness to be on call.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Travel: Ability to travel locally and overnight.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs. in weight.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual Labor: Ability to perform manual labor for up to 12 or more hours per day.
  • Hearing and Vision: Acute hearing and strong field of vision.
  • Weather Conditions: Ability to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions.
