Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at TINY HOPPERS KANATA NORTH EARLY LEARNING CENTRE.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes leading activities, encouraging creativity, and guiding children in developing proper habits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
  • Reliability and ability to work as a team player.
Work Environment:

The work site environment is non-smoking and air-conditioned. The work setting is a child care centre.

Security and Safety:

A medical exam is required. The work conditions and physical capabilities include repetitive tasks, physically demanding work, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Personal Suitability:

The ideal candidate will possess reliability and the ability to work as a team player.

Health Benefits:

We offer a health care plan and a permanent work term with 40 hours per week. The work language is English.
