About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Framatome. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and analyzing mechanical systems and structures to support the delivery of clean, safe energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform standard engineering assignments in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, and preparation of specifications.
- Complete field visits to support engineering work development.
- Liaise with clients to ensure solutions identified meet underlying needs.
- Complete engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, and maintenance.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering role.
- Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License (P. Eng).
- Experience in system engineering and design review processes.
- Experience in manufacturing and constructability methods.
- Ability to support design and constructability review meetings.
- Working knowledge and understanding of CSA N285.0, CSA B51, CSA N299/Z299, ASME BPVC.
- Familiarity with CSA S16, CSA N289, National Building Code of Canada, ASME B30.20.
- Familiarity with engineering software tools, such as ANSYS, AutoPIPE, AutoCAD, Solid Works, MicroShield.
- Ability to prepare and/or provide critical peer review of various engineering calculations and reports.
- Effective written and verbal communication with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work well with senior engineers and other disciplines.
- Ability to respond rapidly to changing demands.
- Ability to execute work to high safety and quality requirements.
