Heavy Equipment Technician

As a Heavy Equipment Technician at Davidson Contract Services, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of commercial transport trucks. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in this exciting opportunity.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair truck systems: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Inspect and diagnose issues: Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine the necessary repairs.
- Review work orders: Review work orders and estimate parts and labor costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Education: An Other trades certificate or diploma is required for this position.
- Experience: 1-7 months of experience in heavy equipment repair or a related field is preferred.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, as well as inspecting and diagnosing mechanical issues.
- Communication skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with supervisors and other team members.
- Compensation: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
