Job Title: Plumber

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team at Kal-West Mechanical Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems, fixtures and appliances in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and connect pipes, fittings and fixtures in accordance with blueprints and specifications
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
  • Determine and implement the most efficient and cost-effective plumbing solutions for our clients

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plumbing
  • Diploma or certificate in plumbing from a recognized institution
  • Registration with the relevant professional association
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
