Job Summary:

The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a Community Health Support Assistant to join our team. As a Community Health Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of healthcare services to vulnerable populations in our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily activities related to the HELP program and participate in the cleaning of medical equipment.
  • Keep records of loans and returns and compile statistics, in accordance with the HELP program's procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate daily administrative tasks, such as ensuring timely payment of transactions, accuracy of information, and communication with the public.
  • Support other Canadian Red Cross initiatives as needed to promote a collaborative team effort to address the needs of vulnerable individuals in the community.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or diploma in a health-related field, with one to three years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and organize multiple activities in a complex customer-focused environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills, combined with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong computer and administrative skills.
  • Previous experience working with volunteers or seniors is an asset.
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads.
