Job Summary:
The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a Community Health Support Assistant to join our team. As a Community Health Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of healthcare services to vulnerable populations in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily activities related to the HELP program and participate in the cleaning of medical equipment.
- Keep records of loans and returns and compile statistics, in accordance with the HELP program's procedures and policies.
- Coordinate daily administrative tasks, such as ensuring timely payment of transactions, accuracy of information, and communication with the public.
- Support other Canadian Red Cross initiatives as needed to promote a collaborative team effort to address the needs of vulnerable individuals in the community.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or diploma in a health-related field, with one to three years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and organize multiple activities in a complex customer-focused environment.
- Strong decision-making skills, combined with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Previous experience working with volunteers or seniors is an asset.
- Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads.
