Description of the Job

Garderie Sur le chemin de l'école is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, helping to create a nurturing and engaging atmosphere for children aged 0-5.

Responsibilities
  • Support Early Childhood Educators: Collaborate with our experienced team to deliver high-quality programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead Activities: Design and lead engaging activities, including storytelling, singing, and educational outings, to foster children's creativity and curiosity.
  • Record-Keeping: Assist with maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Encourage Creativity: Support children in expressing their creativity through various mediums, such as art, music, and dramatic play.
  • Health and Safety: Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for children, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience working with children in a nursery school setting.
  • Credentials: Food allergy and anaphylaxis training, First Aid Certificate, and a strong understanding of early childhood development principles.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and a passion for supporting the growth and development of young children.
Working Conditions

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will work on-site in our nursery school, which is a busy and dynamic environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, move around the facility, and engage with children and colleagues throughout the day.
