Drywall Specialist

Job Summary

Torca 1 Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall in various construction settings.

Key Responsibilities

- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and create a durable surface
- Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
- Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and smooth out excess compound
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied

Work Environment

- Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, requiring physical stamina and attention to safety protocols
- Work in a noisy and outdoors environment, with exposure to various weather conditions

Requirements

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
