Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Onboard Immigration Services. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that all orders are accurate and timely.
- Hire and manage food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they meet the required standards.
- Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Address customer complaints or concerns, providing prompt and effective solutions.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and submit reports, providing regular updates to management.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring that all orders are accurate and timely.
- Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres, ensuring that all food and service meet the required standards.
- Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring that all food is presented in a visually appealing manner.
- Supervise and check the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that all food is delivered to the correct location.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
This is a full-time position, requiring the ability to work on-site at our location. There is no option to work remotely.
