GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. As a key member of our Environmental Science Team, you will play a crucial role in managing hydrogeological projects and supporting land development, infrastructure, and water supply objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and implement hydrogeological field programs, including drilling and coring, test pit excavation, monitoring, and sampling.
- Develop and implement project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hydrogeologists, engineers, and environmental scientists, to deliver high-quality projects.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Train and mentor junior staff members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in Earth Science, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
- Registration with Professional Geoscientists Ontario or Professional Engineers Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in consulting.
- Strong knowledge of physical hydrogeology, including hydrogeological site characterization, hydraulic testing, and water balance.
- Experience with software packages related to physical hydrogeology, such as Aqtesolv, Surfer, and Leap Frog.
- Knowledge of Ontario's regulatory framework for groundwater takings, drinking water supply, and source water protection.
