Key Responsibilities
  1. Making strategic decisions that drive the Corporation's ability to achieve its ambitions while maintaining a rationalized portfolio that delivers synergy across the enterprise.
  2. Providing direction to individual teams on acceptable tactical objectives and planning the transition from tactical to strategic architectural goals.
  3. Collaborating with leaders to modernize and optimize business lines and address market disruptors.
  4. Monitoring and adopting technology innovations into the corporation's technical footprint.
  5. Serving as a trusted advisor to CIO/CTO/EA level contacts as they migrate their businesses to cloud architectures.
Qualifications
  1. B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  2. 10+ years of experience in information technology covering a wide range of technologies and disciplines, including:
    1. Five years as an architect.
    2. Three years as a lead architect.
  3. Experience successfully migrating a corporation from a data centre/on-premise deployment model to the cloud, including:
    1. Creation of strategy, roadmaps, vision statements, business cases, solution contexts, and setting principles and standards for a secure, stable, fault-tolerant, cost-effective cloud computing environment.
    2. Participation in and leadership of migration efforts as part of delivery programs that migrated compute power from on-premise to the cloud.
  4. Experience with the Azure cloud platform is required.
  5. Experience with Google and Amazon cloud platforms is an asset.
  6. Experience with Kubernetes is an asset.
  7. A good understanding of cloud-based platforms, including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, and multi-tiered infrastructure.
  8. A good understanding of all cloud offerings and the ability to discuss cloud architectures.
  9. A good understanding of enterprise application integration, including SOA, ESB, and ETL.
  10. A good understanding of process orchestration, BPM, CEP, MDM, BI/BA, etc.
  11. Familiarity with security processes, standards, and issues involved in multi-tier cloud or hybrid applications.
  12. A good understanding of network, application, and information security.
  13. A good understanding of enterprise application integration technologies and common ECA topics, such as persona-based journeys, process orchestration, master data management, analytics and insights, artificial intelligence, etc.
  14. Experience with architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, etc.
  15. SAFe Architect Certification is an asset.
