Role Overview: Water Damage Restoration Technician
As a Water Damage Restoration Technician, you will play a critical role in assessing, mitigating, and repairing damage caused by floods and other water-related incidents. You will work alongside experienced professionals to restore properties efficiently and effectively using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments of water damage and develop restoration plans to ensure timely and effective mitigation.
- Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification tasks to minimize property damage and prevent mold growth.
- Remove and dispose of damaged materials as necessary to facilitate the restoration process.
- Clean and sanitize affected areas to maintain a safe environment for occupants.
- Monitor and document progress throughout the restoration process to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition and report any issues promptly to maintain optimal performance.
Requirements:
- Certification in water damage restoration (IICRC certification preferred) to demonstrate expertise in this field.
