Job Summary:
The Electrical Superintendent is a key member of the North America Construction Ltd. team, responsible for overseeing and managing site construction work for the Electrical division. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and a proven track record of successfully managing heavy construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Manage and supervise site construction work for the Electrical division, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of electrical technicians and tradespeople, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to complete their tasks.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all electrical work is completed to the required quality standards, identifying and addressing any defects or issues promptly.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that electrical work is aligned with project requirements and timelines.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems promptly, using technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills to find solutions.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all electrical work is completed in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Education: Trade certification in electrical work, plus 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical and civil trades, and project management principles. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing heavy construction projects, with experience working on water and wastewater treatment plants.
