">The Role">">We're seeking an experienced Logistics (Outbound) Specialist to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of shipments to retail stores, eCom customers, and warehouse locations. Key responsibilities include:
">- Facilitating shipment pick-ups from distribution centers, stores, and other business locations;
- Maintaining accurate shipment information for retail shipments to inform future logistics decisions;
- Building and managing retail delivery schedules for all Saje stores in Canada;
- Providing excellent service to our growing eCom business;
- Tracking and tracing shipments to various warehouse locations, vendors, and stores to ensure accurate arrival dates;
- Managing carrier relationships to maximize service levels and negotiate favorable rates;
- Communicating clearly with stores regarding shipment arrival times;
- Reporting and analyzing outbound eCom and retail costing metrics;
- Providing rate quotes and supporting business partners as needed;
- Reviewing, auditing, coding, and approving freight invoices against price agreements;
- Supporting other logistics departments as required;
- Cross-training logistics team members on day-to-day outbound logistics functions.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
">- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably with knowledge of freight coordination;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across teams;
- Excellent time management skills, with capacity to adjust workflow as needed;
- Fast learning ability, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office;
- Experience with Dynamics AX is an asset but not required.
