Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at METRO PIZZA FACTORY LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Oversee the daily activities of food preparation and portioning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and guidance to staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
  • Estimate and Manage Inventory: Estimate the quantity of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare Reports and Schedules: Prepare food order summaries for the chef, and establish work schedules to ensure that staff are adequately staffed and that tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment: Ensure that the kitchen and food preparation areas are clean, safe, and healthy, and that all staff are aware of and adhere to sanitation and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or restaurant environment
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week
