Job Title: General Construction Labourer

At TRIUMPH ROOFING & SHEET METAL INC., we are seeking a skilled General Construction Labourer to join our team. As a General Construction Labourer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring the smooth execution of projects, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on construction techniques and safety protocols.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, ensuring accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, adhering to blueprints and construction plans.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning and organizing tools and equipment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
Work Environment:

As a General Construction Labourer, you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work outdoors, often in noisy, dusty, and cold/refrigerated conditions. You must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads, with a focus on attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements:
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work at heights.
