Machine Shop Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our CNC machine shop team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shop, managing a team of up to 20 machinists, and ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of machinists, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Oversee the setup and operation of CNC machines, including Mazak, Doosan, and Haas machines, to ensure efficient and accurate production.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Manage inventory and resources, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards, and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Mazatrol for lathe programming and G-code for mills.
  • Proven experience with Fusion 360 for setup design and modifications.
  • Experience in custom machine shop settings with frequent setups and adjustments.
  • Leadership experience managing a CNC team, improving productivity, and holding the team accountable for quality and output.
  • Knowledge of Mazak, Doosan, and Haas machines, with the ability to handle programming transitions.

  • A competitive salary range of $110,000 to $115,000 with bonus potential.
