Job Summary

Kent Building Supplies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yard Department Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales results. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the daily management of our yard department, including executing marketing campaigns, managing inventory, and participating in meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Management: Lead by example, demonstrating the highest standards of safety, customer service, and merchandising. Communicate effectively with associates, providing direction and tools to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  2. Associate Performance: Manage associate performance through regular feedback and identify training opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  3. Customer Service: Handle customer concerns in a fair and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  4. Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock to meet customer demand while minimizing waste and excess inventory.
  5. Marketing and Sales: Execute marketing campaigns to drive sales results and promote our products and services.
Requirements:
  1. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer concerns in a professional manner.
  3. Inventory Management: Experience in managing inventory levels and controlling costs.
  4. Marketing and Sales: Proven track record of executing successful marketing campaigns and driving sales results.
  5. Education and Training: Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business or marketing, or equivalent experience.
