Team Insights

The Distribution teams play a vital role in our overall mission by ensuring that products are delivered efficiently to our clients through various channels. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Operations Supervisor will oversee all distribution center activities for a specific shift or process. This role involves leading the operations team to achieve efficiency and meet service level agreements.

Daily Responsibilities

This role operates during the evening shift.

  • Manage and supervise all facets of a designated shift or process within the distribution center.
  • Assist the manager in developing and executing operational strategies to enhance performance.
  • Coach and mentor a team of up to 25 hourly employees during peak periods.
  • Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and offboarding.
  • Ensure that departmental tasks are executed effectively to meet performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Handle daily workforce planning, including reallocating staff as necessary.
  • Collaborate with management on weekly staffing requirements, including engaging with external labor agencies.
  • Work with Workforce Administrators to verify and approve timekeeping for hourly staff.
  • Maintain communication with staffing agencies regarding employee performance and feedback.
  • Coordinate with Health and Safety teams on employee-related issues.
  • Ensure effective communication with the hourly workforce.
  • Guarantee compliance with labor laws and health and safety regulations.
  • Promote and embody the company's values of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action.
Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, operations, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or similar setting.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role with hourly employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with automation and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to obtain certification for operating powered industrial trucks as needed.
  • Strong communication skills with team members and business partners.
  • Adaptable to new technologies and systems.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Flexible schedule, including potential night shifts and weekends.

Compensation and Benefits

myGwork offers a competitive compensation package, typically ranging from $88,200 to $115,700 annually, depending on location and individual qualifications. Permanent employees may also qualify for an annual bonus program.
