In alignment with the organization's mission and values, and under the guidance of senior professionals such as a Recreation Therapist, Program Coordinator, Registered Nurse, or Occupational Therapist, the Activity Worker plays a vital role in a multidisciplinary team focused on client and family-centered care. This position is responsible for implementing a structured activity/recreation/leisure program as directed.
Updated Compensation :
The new wage is: $29.83/hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Days, Evenings - 08:30 to 16:30, 12:30 to 20:30. The role includes three evening shifts monthly and occasional weekends for special events.
Facility Overview
The Rotary Manor Complex features two interconnected buildings, providing a bright and welcoming environment with ample natural light. It accommodates 115 publicly subsidized beds, along with private rooms for respite and community palliative care. Our active recreation department organizes a variety of daytime activities, complemented by evening programs involving community groups, such as school children participating in the Grand Buddy program, musicians, and church organizations. The Adult Day Away Program collaborates with the facility's recreation initiatives.
