Job Title: Addictions Counsellor

De Novo Treatment Centre is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to provide individual and group counselling services to clients struggling with addiction. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans, provide therapy, and support clients in achieving their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and client outcomes
  • Examine client behaviour and develop treatment plans
  • Conduct client interviews, prepare case histories, and assess problems
  • Record observations and maintain accurate records
  • Provide therapy, implement treatment plans, and perform administrative tasks
  • Develop and implement counselling and intervention programs
  • Counsel clients, provide therapy, and facilitate group sessions
  • Liaise with community agencies and identify additional or alternative services
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Electronic medical records experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Windows
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure and maintain accurate records is essential.
