Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Bombardier is a leading manufacturer of innovative transportation solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our Mobile Response Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to Bombardier's General Work Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with Environmental Health and Safety Policies: Participate in 5-S activities and perform tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Aircraft: Inspect, repair, install, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Document Work Completed: Perform and document work completed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
- Inspect Incoming Parts and Documentation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in Other Maintenance Disciplines: Collaborate with Avionics, Structures, Composites, and other teams as needed.
- Operate Ground Support Equipment: Use equipment as required to support aircraft maintenance.
- Assist with Mechanical and Electrical Removals and Installations: Support the removal and installation of aircraft components.
- Return Aircraft to Service: Ensure aircraft are returned to service after maintenance at off-site locations.
- Act as Shipping and Receiving Agent: Manage the receipt and dispatch of parts.
- Provide Time Estimates: Accurately estimate time required for tasks and projects.
- Audit Your Own Location and Truck: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Create Service Orders with SAP: Use SAP to create and manage service orders.
- Perform Delegated Inspector Function: Conduct inspections as qualified by QA.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate: Possess a valid A&P certificate.
- Experience in Aircraft Maintenance: Typically 3 years' experience in aircraft maintenance or equivalent experience.
- Corporate Jet Aircraft Experience: Typically 2 years' experience on corporate jet aircraft.
- Bombardier Aircraft Model Experience: Typically 1 year experience on Bombardier aircraft models.
- Ability to Interpret Mechanical Engineering Drawings: Possess the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
- Effective Communication Skills: Ability to effectively and accurately communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status with customers at all levels.
- Basic Set of Hand Tools: Own a basic set of hand tools and demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
- Ability to Work Unscheduled Overtime: Must be able to work unscheduled overtime, including nonscheduled workdays and holidays.
- Seasonal/Inclement Weather: Must be able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside.
- Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel with 2 hours' notice, including extended assignments lasting up to 30 days.
- Interpersonal Skills: Possess interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned employees, other business areas, contractors, and customers.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain insurable status.
- Ability to Work Unsupervised: Ability to work unsupervised and alone.
- Strong Troubleshooting Skills: Possess strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ground Support Equipment Qualifications: Ability to obtain appropriate certification for Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
- Valid Passport: Possess a valid passport with the ability to travel internationally.
- Security Identification Display Area Badge (SIDA): Ability to obtain a SIDA badge.
- Bombardier Corporate Credit Card: Ability to obtain a Bombardier Corporate Credit Card and maintain good standing of guideline requirements.
- Basic PC Skills: Possess basic PC skills.
- Customer Relations Experience: Previous experience in customer relations with emphasis on customer-facing interactions.
- Aircraft Return to Service and Inspection Procedure: Experience with aircraft return to service and inspection procedure.
- Training and Leadership Skills: Ability to train other employees and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Planning and Organization Skills: Possess strong planning and organization skills.
