POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor, this role entails the safe and effective operation of the forklift designated for the Shipping department.

******Shift Premium, Sign-On Bonus & Retention Bonus Available******

CANDIDATE MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR STRAIGHT NIGHT SHIFT (10PM TO 6AM) OR STRAIGHT AFTERNOON SHIFT (2PM TO 10PM)

Compensation: $23.34/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct a pre-shift inspection of the Forklift Complete and submit the pre-shift Daily Inspection form at the beginning of the shift Operate machinery in compliance with all safety protocols Load and unload delivery vehicles Report any equipment issues to Maintenance or Shipping Supervisor Monitor the quality of materials and products handled, reporting any discrepancies to the Shipping Supervisor Ensure materials are stored in the correct designated areas Verify the accuracy of materials supplied to the Production line Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area Attend Department and Company meetings as required Participate in mid-year and year-end inventory counts if necessary Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety regulations Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor/Manager EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Must have completed Grade 12 or equivalent Previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory Forklift certification obtained through a Company-sponsored training program Proven ability to operate machinery safely and effectively Capable of completing reports accurately and legibly Strong communication skills Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal abilities
