Contract Opportunity
In your role you will:
- Oversee a team of salaried and unionized Methods personnel dedicated to supporting the production floor.
- Ensure the successful execution of Functional Test Procedural instructions for production, with the goal of guaranteeing comprehensive system testing.
- Incorporate manufacturing objectives and requirements, utilizing an effective First Article Inspection process to confirm that all design changes implemented in production align with manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with the Change Management team, providing a detailed project schedule, resource allocation, and tooling/process definitions to facilitate a robust change implementation process within the manufacturing setting.
- Guide, mentor, and evaluate team members.
- Ensure all team members comprehend their responsibilities and contributions towards achieving the Operations Unit objectives.
- Engage in Achieving Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Leverage BOE tools to guarantee best practices in all deliverables and to identify improvement opportunities, including those arising from the establishment of new multifunctional teams.
- Ensure the team is fully integrated into the Global Aircraft platform, fostering a cohesive one-team approach.
- Confirm that appropriate resources are available to meet projected workload demands regarding quality, cost, and schedule.
As our ideal candidate:
- You hold a post-secondary degree and/or possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience within Bombardier Aerospace in an Engineering, Methods, or Quality environment; a technical background is highly preferred.
- You have a track record of supervising a team, with preference given to those who have managed technical teams or supervised unionized staff, as well as individuals with cross-functional experience.
- You possess extensive technical knowledge of the Bombardier Manufacturing System, Bombardier Engineering System, and Aircraft and Aircraft Systems; MRB experience is advantageous.
- You demonstrate a high-level customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- You approach challenges positively, setting a standard for the organization.
- You are capable of working independently with a proactive, results-driven, and innovative mindset focused on continuous business improvement, showcasing ethics, sound judgment, and professionalism.
- You exhibit strong communication and presentation skills, enabling effective collaboration with individuals at all organizational levels.
