Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Lumotive. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for automating builds, developing CI/CD pipelines, managing software and firmware release processes, and supporting our on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Automation and CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain build tools and infrastructure to support software and ASIC Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD).
  • Infrastructure Development: Install, maintain, document, and promote tools and services to assist in developer productivity and software quality.
  • DevOps Roadmap Development: Create roadmaps for advancing DevOps infrastructure and improving our software delivery capability.
  • Cloud and On-Premise Management: Work with various teams to plan and define the use of on-premise servers versus cloud services.
  • Tool Evaluation and Licensing: Manage tool evaluation and licensing.
  • Performance Metrics and Monitoring: Drive continuous improvement of software delivery through generating and monitoring performance metrics.
  • DevSecOps: Build security into our DevOps pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Cloud Cost Optimization: Cost optimize and manage cloud services (AWS or Azure) where needed.
Qualifications

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure development.

  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in build automation and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines), scripting languages (Python, Bash), Linux environments, and source code version control (Git).
Preferred Skills
  • Containerization: Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Infrastructure as Code: Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) enablers (Ansible).
  • Database Technologies: Experience in Database technologies (PostgreSQL, SQLServer).
  • Reporting and Monitoring Tools: Experience in Reporting and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Cloud Services: Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud services.
  • Agile Environments: Familiarity with working in Agile environments (Scrum / Kanban).
  • Embedded Linux Distributions: Familiarity with Embedded Linux distributions (Yocto).
  • Software Development: Familiarity with software development for internet industries (Javascript, HTML) and embedded software development (C, C++).
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $115,000 (CAD) + Performance-based Quarterly Bonus + Equity depending on experience.
