The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, with a passion for pursuing a CPA designation. Key responsibilities will include managing daily cash transactions, processing direct deposits, and maintaining accurate financial records within our Trux system.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Accurately handle daily cash transactions and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Process direct deposits and manage associated accounting entries within the Trux system.
  • Post accounting adjustments, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Collaborate with A/R collections and sales teams to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely collections.
  • Communicate effectively to facilitate the transfer of accounts to collections as needed.
  • Assist with additional accounting tasks as required to support the finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Passion for accounting and intent to pursue a CPA designation.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience with Trux or similar accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
