Surveillance Specialist in Civil or Electrical Engineering

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the surveillance of electrical installation, civil, and roofing work in a hydroelectric power plant site.
  • Take ownership of project requirements and its peculiarities, such as environmental, quality, and safety requirements, and participate in the development of surveillance programs.
  • Verify the quality of plans, quotes, and their compliance with current standards.
  • Comment on the quality plan of contractors.
  • Ensure that the quality plan is applied in terms of technical, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Participate in the writing and processing of reports on all work, such as work progress, supply chain monitoring, labor, equipment, additional work, property and environmental damage, technical defects, technical questions (QMT), and those related to quality management systems.
  • Participate in writing non-conformity reports following work surveillance and ensure follow-up.
  • Ensure that no non-conformity and deficiencies hinder commissioning.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Your Profile

  • DEC in electrical engineering or civil engineering or equivalent experience/formation.
  • Possess experience in work surveillance and a very good knowledge of electrical installation and civil work.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a vehicle (class 5).
  • Have good computer skills.
  • Good mastery of the French language (spoken and written).
  • Valid ASP construction card.
  • Have participated in Hydro-Québec training (an asset).

Conditions

  • Approximate end date: December 2024 with possibility of extension.
  • Work schedule according to the contractor.
  • The candidate will be assigned to various sites in the Quebec and Bas-Saint-Laurent regions.
  • The candidate must be absolutely very mobile and available.
