About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Rusty's at Blue. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is handled and presented in a safe and hygienic manner.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with a fast-paced environment and repetitive tasks.
