About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ikebata Nursery School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support child development.
  • Lead activities, including storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings to local points of interest.
  • Assist with record-keeping and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through various media, such as art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work language is English, and the work setting is a nursery school.
