Overview

Fountain Tire (Cambridge) is seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented professional to fill the role of Licensed Commercial Tire Technician . If you possess the necessary skills and commitment, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Compensation: $24-$30/hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, balance, and rotate tires for passenger vehicles, light trucks, medium trucks, and commercial vehicles
  • Complete and uphold various safety training courses, including WHMIS, TIA, Rim Safety, and Customer Experience Standards
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times
  • Maintain tire service equipment on a scheduled basis
  • Perform specialized tire services, which may include studding, retreading, run-flat repairs, nitrogen filling, etc.
  • Assist with inventory management through accurate documentation and annual counts
  • Take pride in ensuring customer safety and satisfaction on the road

Working Environment:

  • A collaborative atmosphere where hard work, effective communication, and clear thinking are valued
  • A physically demanding position requiring consistent effort throughout the day
  • Regular lifting of weights around 55lbs is necessary
  • The role may involve unpredictable conditions, including physical, wet, cold, and windy environments, requiring resilience
  • This position involves frequent standing, crouching, or kneeling

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in commercial tire services is preferred
  • A valid driver's license is essential, along with a satisfactory driving record
  • Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude are crucial for success
